New Trick #5

Really big belly laughs....
He's been laughing for a while now, but it used to be sporadic, and often difficult to get a laugh out of him, but these days he is laughing more and more, and finds lots of different things funny. Todays new thing that he found very amusing was me hiding my face behind my hands, then revealing it whilst shouting BOO! I had him laughing for ages.
Delightful.

New Tricks

Toby seems to be mastering new tricks every day. Some of which I managed to capture on camera....
1. Squeaking one of his favourite toys all by himself
2. Sticking out his tongue and blowing raspberries
3.Sucking his toes (he has literally spent the whole day with his toes in his mouth)
4. Standing up. He loves to stand and view the world from a different perspective, and in one move can go from lying down to standing. He is very proud of himself when he does that.

A long weekend

It has been a lovely long weekend, the weather has been beautiful (not too hot) and we've just taken it easy. We spent Saturday having breakfast at The European, and then wondered around the city. Yesterday we went for a walk along the beach, and today we went to Williamstown. It was very windy, but Toby loved the wind, it makes him laugh.
We finished the day with ice cream from Brunetti's, perfect ending to a perfect weekend.

Drool

...there is a lot of it.
All over his fingers, and over his face, and now all over his toes, as he has discovered he can suck them.
Hence the bib in the photo, he looks so angelic, you wouldn't imagine he spends most of the day all shiny faced and wet, with little bits of fluff attached to him.

A new sun hat

The weather is so hot at the moment, and the sun so strong and Toby's hair is getting so thin..... so a new hat was in order

Monday-itus

We had a very relaxing weekend, lunch at Chantel and Jason's house on Saturday, and we went to the craft market yesterday, it was a beautiful sunny day. We bought Toby some handmade things and just food stuff for us. I turned a box of juicy peaches into a trifle in the evening.
Today is very hot, so me and Toby have stayed indoors with the air conditioning on, up in my studio. I haven't managed to get much done today though, I think the little monster has a touch of Monday-itus. There have been a lot of baby tears today, and I'm at a loss as to know why.

But earlier on this morning, he was very cheerful as we played together, Toby on his tummy.

Happiness.....

is watching Toby laughing.
He was so proud, sitting up all by himself (with a few pillows behind him...)and so happy, it was contagious.

Feet

Toby is obsessed with his feet, and so am I.
I can watch him for hours as he rolls around from side to side, clutching at them, pulling them, flinging them in the air and staring at them. They are his new favourite toy.
He loves playing with them so much he barely keeps them still. Which meant photographing them today took a long time, and literally hundreds of shots to capture them properly.
These are my favourite feet, they are so little, so perfect.

Toby's new girlfriend

This is Toby and his girlfriend Amelie.
She's only 4 weeks old, I can't believe how tiny they are at that age, I'd forgotten already. She made Toby look all grown up.
